SEN1:1 Learning Support Assistant Level 2   

TA Level 2, Grade 3, Point 4-6, £25,185 - £25,989 (pro rata) 

25 hours, Monday to Friday, Term time only

To start as soon as possible

We are looking to appoint an energetic and engaging teaching assistant to work alongside children with special educational needs within our nursery setting at Chorlton park Primary School.  Chorlton Park is part of the CLIC Co-operative Trust.

 We are looking for a TA who:

  • Is passionate about teaching and learning and believes in developing the true potential of all of our children
  • Can work with small groups of children under the supervision of the teacher including the implementation of Education and Health Care Plans and Individual Education Plans
  • Can demonstrate good understanding of meeting the needs of children with SEN
  • Can nurture, inspire, challenge and motivate pupils
  • Has a working knowledge of how children develop and can provide modelling and scaffolding to support the child’s interactions and learning
  • Has good behaviour management skills and can implement clear boundaries and routines
  • Can develop good home/school links.

Behaviour Support Assistant & Lunchtime Lead (Teaching Assistant Level 3)

TA Level 3, Grade 4 (Point 7 – 11), £26,403 - £28,142 (pro rata)

25 hours per week, term time only

Mon - Fri, 9.15am - 2.15pm (hours can de discussed)

 Are you passionate about supporting children’s emotional wellbeing and behaviour in a nurturing, inclusive environment? We are offering an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our excellent Behaviour Support team and to lead our Lunchtime team to ensure the whole lunchtime experience is as positive as possible for the children.

We are very keen to find the right person for this role and would be happy to discuss the working hours for the right candidate.

  •  Can oversee the care, safety, welfare and supervision of children during the lunch break, in the playground, dining hall and other areas, ensuring the whole lunchtime experience is as positive as possible for the children
  • Is able to build positive relationships with adults and children and be able to lead a small team using clear, firm and fair communication
  • Has a calm, empathetic, and proactive approach to managing behaviour
  • Has a good understanding of SEMH and SEND strategies
  • Will promote emotional regulation and positive social interactions among pupils
  • Has excellent communication skills and is committed to building positive relationships with pupils, parents and staff
  • Is willing to contribute to the broader life of the school community
  • Has at a minimum: Level 3 Education and Childcare or Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
